On February 8th of 1898, Puig i Cadafalch, writes to Manuel Raventós on the occasion of the commission he had received to build some wineries for Codorníu. At that time Puig i Cadafalch was 31 years old but was already a renowned architect endorsed by works such as Els 4 gats, Macaya house or Amatller house of Passeig de Gràcia

Do you want to know more details about the figure of Josep Puig i Cadafalch and his work in Codorníu?

Come celebrate with us the 150th anniversary of Josep Puig i Cadafalch birth through this unique experience.

We will talk about cava and modernism, we will show you unique documents from that time, handwritten letters the architect maintained with Manuel Raventós that will transport you directly at the end of the 19th century.

We will take a tour to discover the Modernist work of the architect and will  descend to “cavas” where we will take a train to explore  the undergoround galleries ending our experience in the Modernist House where Raventós family lived until the 80s.

For the first time and to commemorate the year of Puig i Cadafalch, we will open the Tower to our visitors and you will be invited to enjoy a tasting in a singular building that is part of the architectural set of Codorníu, declared National Historical-Artistic Heritage in 1976.

During the tasting two cavas and a small appetizer will be served.
